Either leave it chrome or go emblemless, because it'll barely be noticeable if you paint it black.

Plasti-dip it and take a step back...faaar step back, and see what you think. I love using that stuff to get a general idea of how it'll look black before doing anything permanent, but by all means it's not the best looking spray.

I think for a OB coupe the whole grill should stay chrome but ya definitely leave the emblem alone.

IMHO, with the shiny wheels, the Mt. Fugi in the front should be shiny. I would put the shiny Mt. Fugi back on the rear as well. And since I'm crazy, the projector housing in the OB lights would be shiny too. Subtle touches, but it would pop.

....^....Without a doubt the best advice! If I had an OB coupe, I'd be ordering one of IONICs embless grilles.

i actually painted my grill blk bout 2yrs ago and covered the front surface of my emblem with a red tone vinyl to match the lip of my wheels, while leaving the other sides of the emblem chrome. Like everyone else said, i tried this look first, not painting or covering the whole emblem, to see if i liked it, and i did. Just recently, i got tired of it and wanted my car to be more stealth, almost completely blked out, so i repainted my grill, and sprayed the emblem blk as well. I also smoked my headlights leaving only my corners lenses amber. I liked the orginal look i had, but also like this more "stealth-like" look as well. i can get u a picture if you want in a couple of days man?

It's not that I don't like the "stlying" of your car, painting the shrouds is one thing, but smoking the whole headlight except for corner lenses is just dumb and dangerous IMO. You are greatly reducing the light output.

But whatever, it's your car.
