Hey guys. I recently read a thread about changing power steering fluid and I'll change mine tomorrow. I am looking to get Mobil 1 Automatic Transmission Fluid which is recommended but I can't find one around my place (Huntington Beach, Socal). So the alternative way is to get Dexron III compatible. Below is the links:

Dexron III, Matic J compatible. Does it mean that they are safe to use as Power Steering Fluid? Thank you.

When I added my custom p/s tank I used OE fluid that I purchased from Nissan. When changing p/s fluid you'll never be able to remove 100% of the old and I wouldn't mix them because you might cause a leak in your rack.... Buy OE p/s fluid from Nissan....my two cents!

Ok, So I'll go to Nissan dealer tomorrow and ask them for P/S Fluid. I know that I will not be able to remove 100% fluid. How to avoid leak? Thanks for your input.

^ lol, Nissan Fluid is just Dexron III fluid. Anything compatible will mix just fine. I have not heard of anyone changing it out and having a leak.
