Question Navigation question?

I came across a totaled 2005 G35 4DR and I own a 2DR, same year vehicle. I really like the OEM Navigation system, with pop up screen, which the 4DR g35 has. The guy is selling that for $400 firm. Is it worth buying it? And it will fit my 2005 coupe right?

The pop up screen and DVD rom will fill no problem. If you can retrieve the dashboard wiring harness and antenna from the car then go for it. If the car had the front airbags deployed then the wiring most likely is damaged. Without the wiring harness it becomes useless and they go for $1400 to buy

Good luck

Don't bother, the OEM nav isn't that great. Spend your money on a nice aftermarket double din with nav.

^ perhaps oem isn't the best, but i never liked the screen being so low on double din setup. I felt there was too much eye travel off the road.

His front airbags were deployed, so I think it's useless to buy the console. I don't wana risk it. I guess I will save my money for something else. Thanks Guys!!

I have seen a couple of OEM Nav set ups here on the forum. My car has OEM Nav and I like it a lot.

My car has OEM Nav.... it's not worth it. The controls on the Navigation suck and it takes forever to enter a destination, plus you have to buy update Navigation DVD's if you want to keep up to date with the latest maps.

To be honest, the best thing about OEM Navigation is that you can track real-time fuel economy with it. I use that feature almost constantly on mine.

I agree with the partyman. I use my fuel eco screen most of the time. I like to see the little graphs move when I press on the gas... Also, it's cool as hell when it pop up and down.. I don't use the nav too often but when I do.. it really comes in handy.
