'05 sport tuned suspension option?

What's with this option? Its going to be standard on 6MT but avail as option on the 5AT. I dont remember this option when I was buying my '03. Were there any suspension options with the 03-04's or were they all the same? Has anybody heard what they upgraded for 05 and is it supposed to be a lot better handling than our 03-04's? Just wondering.

The Sport Tuned Suspention Option is offered only on the 05 G coupes, and I believe is standard on the 6MT and an option only on the 05 AT model.

I'm writing on my wife's behalf (G35 Coupe-Gal), she purchased her '05 AT Coupe with the STS Option w/19" wheels and the LSD and the STIFF SPRINGS etc. Well, now she thinks she might like the milder springs and struts on the standard suspension better. Although I like the handling and don't mind the suspension stiffness it at all, it is her car.

My question:
Will the standard suspension, ie. springs, struts, front and rear sway bars retrofit to her coupe, and is this a good idea to even consider doing this? I have seen some of them on eBay recently and thought that would be an affordable way of improving her car's ride.

Any suggestions or comments regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Paul

I would check with your local dealer to see if this is feasible.

I'm sure a lot of people on this board would be willing to do a "swap" with your sports-tuned suspension (including me!) for the "standard" suspension. You would have no trouble finding a willing participant.

i would guess what she is really feeling is the ride "produced" the 19" wheels.

How long have you had it? I have the same car and the ride gets better after 3-5k miles. Straight off the lot, it was very tight, but now the ride is much more enjoyable. I would have her wait a while, then if she is insistant, you can swap the suspension out.

I don't know what kind of car your wife was used to driving before, but changing to the coupe's regular suspension ain't going to be a smooth ride either.! I wouldn't bother......
