05 g35 wrecked today air bag didn't go off!!

Soo. Some lady thought she could cross the intersection before I came thru or just didn't see me and I ended up tboning her.....she's Mexican and no insurance lucky me.... I was going 40 and slammed on the brakes to probably 30-35 but my airbag didn't go off when i hit her!! I had the coupe recall airbag wiring fixed. What's everyone opinion? Why didn't my airbag go off? Do I need to having an attorney call Infiniti??

I believe it has to be an impact of like 33 mph to deploy an airbag. If you jammed the brakes before impact you might have been just under that.... Should had never touched the brakes. Now you will probably have a fixed car with a dirty car fax report.

Note to self,

When coming to a collision, always accelerate.

the air bag sensor is behind the aluminum reinforcement

if the reinforcement did not bend all the way in and break the sensor then the air would not deploy
meaning it was not a strong accident

post a pic of the car

If the airbags didn't deploy then it wasn't "wrecked". You were just in an accident.

Also the airbag system does not always deploy even if the sensor is tripped.

Its a little bit more complex then that.

You forgot to press ok..

during an impact, on the navi screen, a message pops up and asks if you want the airbags to deploy...

I believe the front airbags deploys when it detects "sudden deceleration". Not just impact...
