So I went to the dealership to address the recall and other issues like the seat rip tsb for the driver seat and was told that extended warranty only covers power train not trim. Is that true?

 

depends, is it the Elite Warranty through Infiniti?

 

it was an extended warranty through infiniti yes, hans from cerritos infiniti said it does not cover trim interior items only like tranmission issues, the valve cover replacement stuff like that

 

i have the extended warranty and it paid for itself in big issues..i replaced:

CD ERR FO (got whole new head unit for $100)
Squeaky driver seat frame (got whole new seat track for $100)
Broken trunk harness/wire (new harness and wiring for $100)

All these things would have run me around $1000 at the dealership which is rediculous..but they don't cover small stuff.

 

I've dealt with him before as well regarding a different issue and he's given me a similar answer, "your warranty doesn't cover this".

 

I've had 2 window motors, 1 door lock actuator, Bose CD/radio, passenger headlight and driver side seat rails replaced under my Infiniti Elite warranty.

 

Always contact two different stealerships for warranty information.
