So Halloween weekend I decided to bring my keys downtown even though I didn't drive and lost them along with some other items. I only had that one set so I had to have the car towed to Infiniti and they couldn't get the key cut correctly to open the door. The service manager said there was 2 guys in the back who thought they could get in it through the window so I allowed it to happen. My problem is that they broke the plastic piece that runs along the top of the window. What would that piece be called so that I can get a replacement and paint it?

if they broke it, did you ask them to replace it ?

 

They should have been able to cut you a new key from your vin number. When you bought the car you should have gotten a little metal like dog tag thinggy with your keys with a number on it. You bring that in and they can instantly cut your key.

 

I bought the car used, so the dog tag thing wasn't with the keys. The car is good to go now except the hard key in the FOB doesnt unlock the doors but it does start the car. Ill post pics here in a few min
