Hey Guys,

I am completely new to this whole forum/Q&A about cars but I guess this is as good of a place as any to start!
I am pretty set on buying a used G35 Coupe-Manual Transmission for around 10k to 16k. Year 2000-2006 I am not here to ask anyone to sell their own G35 but I would appreciate all the tips and help I can get on buying a used car.
For example, what should I look for specifically in a used G35? or Just your input on used G35?

Thanks for all your help!!!

Try to get one thats still under the powertrain warranty (70K miles or years). One that has a clean record/car fax and make sure it has the majority of its maintenance history. An unmodified one would be best. GL

The '02s were the best... everything was downhill after that. I really wish they would have left well enough alone.

I can't tell you what to buy. But if your max is $16k you will either have to go older or high mileage if you want a newer one. I got a red 06 6MT for $17k. But, it had high miles, 75k, and it had had some work done, new clutch.

A car that has 75k miles on it or is 6-8 years old isn't going to ride, smell or look brand new. So don't get your hopes up too high.

Look closely at the body (and not the CarFax). Mine clearly has a repaired left front quarter panel. If looks great but there is a slight paint mismatch. All the parts behind the quarter panel look original (suspension, engine bay stuff, etc) so I seems like it was probably just cosmetic fender damage. Point is, look at this stuff or pay a neutral mechanic to check it out.
