Should i trade my G for a Z?

My 2003 coupe just hit 102k
it runs flawlessly
its a 6speed lots of mods etc

I'm considering trading it for a 2004 350z with 68k miles and automatic

i dont mind it being a 2 seater since i have a daily driver optional to me and i dont mind the automatic either, in fact i find myself missing the auto as ive driven a manual for the last 7+ years. Just a stock 350z auto, what do you guys think? anything im not considering here?

The thing your not considering is this is a G35 website. We have a bias.

On top of that its an automatic. No fun.

ill say this, it will be nice to not have to shift gears for a while and not have to deal with our impossible to drive smooth transmissions BUT

that first spring day when your cruising with the windows down, sunroof open and get the urge to drop a gear and nail it... damn its an auto and i miss my 6 speed is what you will say.

i think you would miss the G is my answer

I drove manual transmission for 15 years and owned a C36 AMG automatic for one year, i would never give up a manual transmission unless my knee goes out.

if you post wanted trade ad in a 350z forums, i think you will get really good responses!

You don't need a trunk or a back seat? The 'trunk' on the Z is a joke. I'm also in the the MT. Hate automatics.

Only you can make the decision.... I would base it off book values if there is no boot in either direction.

I traded my 03 5AT coupe for a 06 Acura TL... that was the most miserable 4 months of my life... I finally found the IP 6MT coupe I was after and ditched the TL for it. Lost my a$$ financially, but I could not be happier with my daily driver...

....^....what's wrong with this comment? The Z cars today don't have a sunroof unless you have your new Z cut up and get an aftermarket POS. If you can get by without a sunroof and a back seat my choice w/b that silver Nismo 370Z sitting on my dealership lot. Window sticker is $42K but I'd offer them a lot less just to get a reaction....

automatic... ewww

if u were thinking about a 6mt Z the choice might be a little more difficult.

I say, keep your G for a couple more years and wait till the 370z is in your price range.

No way dude.... why trade for that year Z?

If you're going to go from a G to a Z, you'd want to go to a 370Z, but it sounds like that's probably going to be too big of a price jump.
