The alternative to z-tube

Refer to https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...=5&part=2&vc=1

This is a post to spread the news of a cheaper and more effective alternative to the z-tube!!!

I just contacted superpilun and got a custom pipe from him (he calls it the p-tube). It works really well considering I had the stock pipe on before. My car screams like a dragon in the higher rpms, yet sounds unobtrusive at idle...i luv it. I can actually feel an increase in hp too. Right now i have a stillen cold air intake along with the custom tube and I'm really satisfied. I had just the stillen intake before the p-tube and didn't really feel a gain in power, but after the p-tube man i race through my lower rpms faster. Also the p-tube didn't cost much either. I definitely suggest it over a z-tube which costs twice as much. Thanx superpilun.

If you want to sell your product on here maybe you should become a sponsor instead of hijacking vendor threads. Also, picking a user name that closely resembles a respected contributor to this board and then trying to pump up your own product is not cool IMO.

Re: The alternative to z-tube

i'm not trying to sell jack...so please lay off of me...i'm just trying to help ppl who don't want to spend 75 bux for a z tube...not all of us have that type of money...and if u're wondering about the screen name its from my email which is tic888@hotmail.com. Don't be mean man...my sn is legit and i've had the e-mail account for over 5 years.

As for the link, try goin to forums labelled technical and modifications...then Detailed UTR Carbon Fiber "Z" Tube Release Info. Read both pages

If you own a G, I would hope you have $75 to spend on something..hell, that's less than two tanks of gas these days....

Re: The alternative to z-tube

Looks to be ABS PVC Piping. If it is...I suggest you take it out. It's doing more harm than good. Under hood temperatures will cause the PVC to emit toxic fumes into your intake stream.

Re: The alternative to z-tube

If you and superpilun are not the same person then I apologize. Perhaps I was a bit harsh and jumped to conclusions. However, your first post sounded like an info-mercial straight off of daytime tv. I don't know if there is much of a market for the p-tube considering its replacing a quality, proven OEM fit/finish product and only saving $35, but I am glad you like it.

Re: The alternative to z-tube

Hi guys, sorry for all the confusion, my friend came here because he's excited about the pipe I made for him, and I've agreed to make more to see if others are also interested in this pipe.

It is made out of ABS plastic (which is not the same thing as the toxic PVC plastic). ABS is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. http://www.sdplastics.com/abs.html PVC is Polyvinyl Chloride. Trust me I am not dumb enough to use PVC in the engine bay. I have a B.A. in Engineering and have several year of experience making custom intakes for people. Take a look a http://www.geocities.com/superpilun/ for example. I also designed a turbocharger system out of my garage.

Re: The alternative to z-tube

Money doesn't exactly grow on trees man. Listen...i looked at the z-tube and after i saw the price i was immediately turned off. There might just be some people out there that feel the same. I post my comments for those ppl. If u don't feel the same and if my posts don't help you i'd appreciate it if u don't poke fun at it.
