Thank you for this useful information! that looks kinda hardcore btw..... i have a short hand, i hope i can make it.
i have the same problem.. but if you dont want to spend 100 bucks or what ever for the sensor... A trick i picked up when your at the gas pump instead of putting the nozzle in the proper way flip it upside down so the handle is facing upward rather downward works every time..
it used to do that to me at every gas station I go to. i went to get it fixed under warranty, now it just does it at 1 or 2 gas stations...
makes me thing the gas station also has a part in this

The recall is only for the fuel line. This should be done as it can cause a fire.
The "filling" issue has nothing to do with the fuel line, but a "Fill Limit Vent Valve". This is not a recall. But a TSB was released for this.
TSB #: ITB08-041A.

This affects 03-08 Infinti vehicles (M, G35, G37).
After this was performed on my car, I no longer had any problems. So it's not the gas pump that was the problem, but the car itself. I mean, I never had any problem with my previous cars filling up the tank.

I've got the very same issue by the way. Worse now that my local gas station changed the pump nozles...
Can you imagine the FLV or the shield drops over the to other side of the tank? (if it is possible...) Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek....
