WTH??!! theres a crack!

There is a crack in my headlights (04)housing about 4 inches long. I am **** about it because i was about to do projector retro on them but now this damn crack kind of makes me just want to get the 06 headlights instead. And since i am still have full warranty and 30days grace, will the dealership cover my lights in anyway?

I don't see how dealerships would cover it...

Insurance should cover it.

You could try your warranty the worst they could say is, "Sorry that's not covered!" Then you could try your insurance but they may need your deductible depending on your policy. Bottom line, if you can't get it replaced go with the '06+ projectors they're the best upgrade we can make for our '04s....

^^^Wth? Is this common for 03-04 Headlights??

I like retro better because I get to modify them however I want, beam pattern, led and all that without feeling guilty about taking the 06 apart.

I bought my 03' coupe used, and the driver side had a 3-4 inch crack inside the headlight housing as well. It is a common problem ( I actually heard of it on these forums, went out to look at my car, and sure enough.... crack in the headlight). I've heard it happens (most often) when people leave their fog lights on all the time while driving, the heat from the fog lights causes the crack.

On that topic. Not long ago I bought replacement 06+ projectors. AWESOME Besides the projector giving better/more even light output, just the fact that they are 'NEW' and clean makes a world of difference. Very worth the money.

My passenger headlight had a crack in the inside, similar to what you are saying. I am still under Infiniti Elite warranty, and had the entire headlight assembly replaced under warranty.

My driverside has a crack in it. Was going to do the polish to it to remove the yellowish tint, when I noticed it.

Don't know if my extended warranty will cover it.
