Question Is it a good idea?

Is it a good idea to reset my ECU after installing a z-tube and AFE filter?(should arrive today or tomorrow and then later on X02 exhaust (sometime in the next 2 weeks) ECU reset again? I just want to know if it is a good idea or not? And can someone tell me how to do it I hate the search engine here is there a video of how to do it? my car on the sig

disconnect the battery over night... that should do it

I heard there is a way the the pedals and everything, and is there like a lock on our radios??? cause my Acura has that when ecu is reset or u disconnect the battery it asks for a special password to reconnect.

Yes there is a pedal method, search for it. As far as the Radio Security, Infiniti / Nissan isn't as technological or advanced as Acura. So I doubt there is any security code for the radio.

Infiniti won't even let you recirculate the cabin air with having the AC on. LOL

+1 on the disconnecting the battery if you don't wanna do all that pedal hacking lol

Theres is no password that I know of, those hondas are weird, I think my sister had to do that sort of thing whenever she had her Integra.

Everything is fine after I reconnect it on our cars, no inputting of a password required.

Disconnecting overnight should competely reset the ECU, couple of minutes wouldn't really do much.

After all those mods, get a tune.

No tune will come after the MREV2 with 5/16" Space, and testpipes. Then I think I'll go to church automotive.

You could disconnect the negative side of your battery while installing the z-tube and when installing the spacer the instructions will tell you to do that also. Leaving the battery disconnected over night may do more harm than good because your ECU must learn eveything even how to idle which can be a PIA.

How long would you recommend disconnecting the negative side????

I reset mine about once a month and it's in my head.
