6th lug on front wheels

on the front hub there is what looks to be on the a grease insert with a nut located between the 5 lugs. what is it. It is preventing my winter wheels from sitting properly. I purchased some spacers but they will not work due
to this fitting. my 19" OEM do not have a problem but I recently purchase some aftermarket wheels off a 350z and I encountered this. I know a there is a lot of you out there using spacers. I am looking for a solution as my car looks silly with 17" on the rear and 19" on the front.

That will unscrew from your hub. The only reason it was there is so people do not put their staggered wheels on the wrong end. Your factory front wheel has a clearance hole for this stud.

Just remove it, won't hurt a thing.

its part of the hub. it is cast in. it has a nut on the end. I could take the
cap off but that would only whorten it by about 1/8". the casting on all the oem wheels are the same so it wouldn't prevent mounting the 8.5's on the front anyway.
