you got a bad master cylinder and slave cylinder. replace them with new ones.
Also, it's good to change the clutch line to SS line.

Does the factory warranty cover the master cylinder and the slave cylinder?

it could be an overheated clutch, because you did try it after you had done it a couple times. it never happened to me with my old or new clutch.

Might just be the clutch delay valve doing its job.

okay I had that problem until about june or so of this year. Now that car is running really nice. I'm gonna bookmark this page though encase it happens again.

oh FTW I had to put a new clutch in a 23k a month after I bought the car. I was still experiencing the problem several months after the replacement though. I even brought it in to them, and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. I bought the car at 19k so who knows how many times the prev owner had the same issue.

my clutch went after 53k miles. I took the car to the track a few times, and with stock engine power, the oem clutch held on. I installed a supercharger, and after 1.5k, the clutch couldn't handle the power.

You will need a new clutch.

Had nothing to do with being cold outside or warming up car. You're letting the clutch overheat which is breaking down the ability of the fluid to control the clutch plate...making it worse. Is your clutch slipping under normal conditions..that causes it to overheat as well. Yellow fluid = bad. Flush with new DOT4 brake fluid. Suggest fresh Valvoline synthetic DOT4 as it has a high temp boiling point. I'd do this before you start trying to replace any parts or bring it to someone who knows about nissan mt's.

This is about the 10th thread regarding this issue, I've had the exact same problem, with no apparent fix from infiniti...I changed my clutch because of this very problem. I bought an ACT racing clutch, and a stillen lightned fly wheel. This fixed the issue I can now launch and burn out above 4000 rpm now if I feel like. I was hating the car until I changed the clutch. Good luck!

omfg, finally some1 who knows what their talking about. That explains why The problem was so severe when my old clutch was slipping. Okay, I'm gonna check my fluid today. I am a bit confused though. Why would I use brake fluid?

I'm kinda pissed I didn't get an aftermarket clutch put in now, but I'm enjoying the ride. I have been doing some occasional 3k rpm launches and been have to get some decent starts. I have even had tire chirping (vdc off) without any clutch problems.

I guess I am dumping it correctly now. The only thing that worries me is that about 2-3 times since I got my new clutch in Feb, while downshifting at highway speed, this happened to me and i smelt the clutch when I got out.

Can you explain what I did wrong? Whats the best way to correct it if I can feel it about to happen?

you need a new something I would just do master slave new clutch and flywheel, after you finish paying for that see if you want to keep trying this.

When I do donuts in my car I get it to about 3k and wheels just keep spinnin. I would not suggest what your doing on your car it will cost you eventually.

My guess would also be you boiled your fluid. You really shouldn't do 3k clutch dumps on an oem clutch, your clutch is not going to last very long at all..
