TPMS after putting on new tires

Hey guys

I have 04 coupe, and I recently bought a set of slightly used aftermarket wheels, originally installed on Z350. The wheels have TPMS, but they have not been programmed for my car. my question is why don't I get a TPMS warning on my dash ? I have had the car on for over an hour and no light or beeping. I read that the light should come on if TPMS weren't synced with he sensor.

I am pretty sure that my TPMS light works because I used to get a yellow light on my dash when I had my summer wheels on. The pressure would drop just slightly below 35psi in the mornings as temperature was approaching 0C and lights would come after about 30 mins of driving.

On my 04.5 coupe, the light comes on after approximately 60 minutes of driving on wheels where the sensors are not programmed. This happens several times for me every winter. Maybe you just didn't drive long enough?

Note that in my car, when the tire pressure is actually low (and the sensors are registered with the car), there is a really loud ~10 second beep that scares the crap out of you

If the light comes on without the beep, that indicates something wrong with the system (at least on my car).

I also purchased new wheels and bought used sensors on ebay. Dealership re-programmed the sensors to work with this car as light would not turn on until they did this. You might need to do the same.

Does you system beep too ? Mine would not beep with OEM wheels.. just the lights. But then again when I got the light the pressure would only drop probably from 35 to 34 psi, so maybe there is threshold when it starts beeping
