haha, yeah it seemed like all the G's in my area had the willow interior. Or either 4 doors or auto trannys. By OB you guys mean black right? I thought it was called Black Obsidian...better than BO I guess...lolz.

The previous owner said they have been using dino oil, so would it be ok to switch to synthetic now with 84k? I've read you aren't supposed to mix them and if I just drain the motor oil, all of the dino oil will not be out. And I'm going to use OEM tranny fluid, but I searched and couldn't find out if Nissan makes OEM diff. fluid?? If not, what do most of you guys use?
You can use any good synth gear oil for the diff; I happen to use Amsoil Severe Gear 75W90. As someone already said, you can just drain the dino motor oil and replace it with synthetic, that's not a problem. Be sure to change the filter and use a good Wix, Purolator PureOne or similar, not a crappy Fram.

Congrats on the new-to-you car, looks great!

If you get the plenum spacer and the z-tube/high-flow filter you might want to get a tune also. I know on my 06 with a Motordyne 1/2" spacer and the z-tube/K+N high flow my car was running pretty lean. Good luck with the new G!

Thanks!

I'll have to check on the leather TSB, funny but I haven't noticed that tear in person. I did email infiniti and they said my car has one open recall, "OPEN P0339 G35 SAB CONNECTOR ITB10-034." Figure I'll just take the car down there and see what they say.

I just changed my oil to Castrol Syntec full synthetic 5w 30 w/ a PureONE filter. Just so happens that exact combination was on sale if bought together....lol.

Also just found a z-tube that popped up on Craigslist for $45, so things are coming along!!
