Re: foglight light kit for the coupe anyone??

Lou you know I'm down. I have seen these in person and they look amazing!!! In regards to where the lights are placed, when you see in person, looking at the forn of the car, the fogs line up perfectly with the headlights, blinker, then the fogs. They creat a perfect sweepind arc like line that looks sick. Moving them inside or outside anymore would throw that line out of whack and wouldn't look as good IMO. They way it is now, it kinda set up an almost "FANG" like line. THEY LOOOOOOOOOOOK HOT!!!!! The housing (a plastic or Urethene piece) fits exactly in the space where the stock mesh sits. I think Lou had to cut out that stock mesh and the new piece slide right in! If you want to see more photos, I think Lou posted some additional threads in the GSQUAD forum.

Where do you guys live? Is there a reason for having another set of fog lights? besides looking cool. I'll bet all of you drive with your fog lights on all the time.thats like installing another steering wheel.
I'd use those holes for brake ducts and cold air to the intake

IBut I already PAID for fog lights. Can't I just glue some crappy glass lenses on there and pretend?

Re: foglight light kit for the coupe anyone??

I just want to warn you about the PIAA. They are alot more expensive and not high in quality. The brakets are aluminum and most of the housing is aluminum and plastic. Also the lenses are glued in, and not replaceable if broken. Hold them in your hand before you buy!

If your going to pay that much for h3 bulbs 55w lights, look into the Mirco DE HID system, for 600.00. Only thing I thing only the fog system is projection. I think they make a "Pro" system that is projection....

Good luck!

Re: foglight light kit for the coupe anyone??

Well of course they aren't as bright as HID, but they are one of the best halogen projection kits you can get. The housing is made of magnesium so if you upgrade the harness (run your own) then you could put high watt bulbs in there w/o melting anything! 130watt is the highest h3's i've seen.... That and they are projection, put a high watt matching color blue bulb and it will look pretty close to hid!

Hella also makes vertical mounting brackets that I'm looking into, I want it to look factory!
