Im thinkin bad gas or dirty intake but if it was from the hfc's it would just make a rattleing sound not shake the entire car. I say try a new intake filter and if that doesnt. Work reset ecu and if its not back to normal then stealership time :/

Could it be oil in the spark plug tubes? I know many of us have had the seals in our valve covers go bad.

just a quick easy fix if you want to try disconnect the battery both terminals then hold the terminals together for about 5 minutes and then reconnect it and the cycle the key 2 seconds on and then 10 seconds off and repeat three times this may help... if not...

if you clean the throttle body your going to mess up the idle anyway and probably make it worse... you need to clean the throttle body and then do an idle air volume learn... also you have to make sure that you adjust the timing back to 0 because the computer has a tendency over time to advance or retard the timing but usually it advances to 1 degree... also if you have an intake on you should bump up the base idle to like 800rpm... all of this can be done on the consult 2 or 3 at the dealer as long as you have the right tech that knows what he is doing...

also just a slight possiblity you could have a bad power steering pressure switch which could be triggering an irratic idle but not a high idle...

if non of this works you probably have a bad throttle body so just change it very common problems on nissans and infinitis

One of the most epic opening posts of a thread ever.

Today, I cleaned the throttle body using the Sea Foam Deep Creep. While I had the butterfly valve open, I tried to spray the solution and the red plastic straw flew off inside the throttle body. I could not see or get this plastic straw out. So, I put everything back and drove around without any issue. Does anyone have any idea if this going to cause problems later on? Thanks for any advice.

I had it too turned out my throttle body needed to be cleaned horribly. Took some cleaner used a finger and did my thing. Reset using procedure and it was fine. Starts up and actuall stays on without gas. Crazy.

sounds like a dirty idle air control on the throttle body i would say first step is to clean that then do your plugs if it continues.
