PLZ HELP... Car Shakes when I stop but drives normal. What can it be?

Dont feel power lost but when I stop, the car idles find but then it shakes a little then idle is normal then it shakes again. it doesnt turn off but it worries me. When i drive off its like nothing happen. I did have a code for my Cats. Code P420. I went 2 the dealer and they clear the code but I dont think thats the problem because it wasnt doing it before. Clogged injectors? Idle to low? Tell the dealer to do a idle relearn. Do you have aftermarket cats?

I'm thinking dirty throttle body as well. That's any easy thing to check before you do something more expensive.

If it was an issue with rotors it would only shake/vibrate while coming to a stop, not at idle stopped!

HAHAHA, I think that guy was too embarrassed to ever post on DRIVER again after admitting he lost his straw while cleaning his throttle body. His mistake was asking if it would hurt anything....

To fix the rough idle issue I'd clean the throttle body to begin. If that doesn't fix the issue take it in for service, could be a coil or plugs....kinda hard to tell from here.

I had the same thing. Put your window down too, and you can hear it in the exhaust note, right? Its a weird feeling and definitely unsettling wondering if your car is going to shut off at any moment. Does your RPM drop a little bit as well?
I don't remember specifically what I did.. I think I just had a full liquid injector cleaning, then I believe I also had my idle adjusted up a bit. It went away. I'm pretty sure thats all I did. But I could be mistaken.. Good luck bud
