Problem with climate control

The interior temp setting in my base 6MT coupe seems to be 3-4 degrees F lower than the actual cabin temperature. That is, when I set the climate control to 68, then cabin gets up to 72. Also, when I drop the temp down to cool things off, it seems to take forever unless I go down to 60 or 61 degrees. Is this a common problem? Is there a way to calibrate the interioir temp setting? Or is this a defective climate control unit? Thanks!

Re: Problem with climate control

Our climate control system seems to have a mind of its own sometimes.
I'm sure that there is a way to regulate the system if out of spec, but you'll have to get the dealer to do it.

Re: Problem with climate control

Just got back from the dealer where they recalibrated my system AND taught me how to do this myself. To recalibrate the climate contro (CC)l:
1) Turn key to ON and turn CC off
2)Turn key OFF and then ON and leave ON
3)Hold down the CC OFF button until readout changes to the calibrate mode.
4)Tap TEMP up until the end (number 51 will show)
5)Hit DEFROST button and then the fan UP button
6)Calibrate up or down by 6 degrees using the TEMP button. For example, "-3" means that the cabin will be 3 degrees cooler for a given temp setting.
7)Exit calibration mode by hitting AUTO

There are probably other settings that can be changed in this manner but I don't know how to do the other changes.
