Your 'friend that knows a guy' is blowing smoke up your a$$. The e46M3 stock is 333HP. You MIGHT be able to get it to 360 with exhaust/software/intake and a few other mods. Getting more horsepower out of an M3 is very expensive, dollar per hp almost isn't worth it (almost!). The only real way to get another 100+ hp or so is supercharger. The one I have in mind is this one

The only problem is that $8600 for 110 more horsepower is nuts. Unfortunately there aren't many other options so they have the market cornered and can charge whatever they want.

well, he was actually a guy who had a friend. not a friend of mine. i think he did ricer math (LOL), but he was talking about the delage full race kit i believe. just that cf intake manifold is 4000, so it is definitely not cheap power. and he said definitely not supercharged. he also said that his buddy(owner of that website i posted earlier) would pull on vipers up to 150. maybe someone can email the owner of the site and ask for details...
