Anybody Change Wiper Blades?

Re: Anybody Change Wiper Blades?
The nozzles will not interfere with the replacement blades.....
Its probably a good idea to look into aftermarket blades as well. I had mine replaced by the dealer (Nissan Part) and now they tend to chatter on the windshield.......
I may change them out as well.......I can't stand them skipping across the windshield like that .....really is annoying.

Re: Anybody Change Wiper Blades?
I replaced mine with the PIAA's and they work like a charm. Washer fluid nozzle stays ind the wither arm (not replaced). If anyone has issues with skipping of the blades, then get the PIAA ones with the tiny wing. The aerodynamics will prevent wind from picking the blade up.

Re: Anybody Change Wiper Blades?
Can I just say that some of you might have the very small but annoying, windshield wiper chatter problem. I had this problem....the wipers would chatter/skip/judder/shudder across the windshield and they wouldn't wipe very well and they would wear down the blades fast. After literally a month or two of working with my local dealership and Infiniti Consumer Affairs, they replaced the windshield wiper motor and some other stuff. When I first experienced the problem, I tried several different aftermarket wiper blades as well as new OEM blades without success.
There is a very uncommon TSB on this issue, your dealership probably doesn't even know it exists (mine sure didn't, they didn't have it in their database). You gotta call ICA and have them help you out.
Just a warning because it sounds like some of you guys have the same problem I did!

Re: Anybody Change Wiper Blades?
I read that there is a TSB for the wipers chattering, but it was listed for the 03 Sedans........it required a spacer, (washer) to be inserted between the motor flange and the mount.....this would re-align the wiper motor and repair the very annoying chattering......
My replacement blades have somewhat calmed down since the install, I think a combination of cleaning my windshield with thinners to remove the grease/grime from the road,....and allowing the blades to wear in have helped.......
If they continue to chatter, I will go back and either have them replace the blades again or alert them to the TSB.....

i believe had the tsb work done some time ago. i told the dealer about it, they did something and the chatter went away for the most part. but now my blades are old and i can barely see when it rains. thats why i need new blades. i think im going with the piaa's. thanks for all your replies.

Re: Anybody Change Wiper Blades?
The "known" TSB is for the Sedan, but there is also a TSB for the Coupe. It is is similar to the Sedan's, but just a few different steps.
Bosch MicroEdge Excel blades are really cheap and really quiet. They make smooth wipes for the most part, but they are kind of finicky. AANCO HydroClear blades work pretty well for me. The PIAA's are great, but they are kind of noisy and they are SO unnecessarily expensive. I know first you just buy the wiper blades, then after that, you just buy and replace the rubber blade inserts, but their pricing is still way too high!
I think I take windshield wipers too seriously. =/

Re: Anybody Change Wiper Blades?
I've experienced many different brands of wiper blades before and all of them dry up and harden easily, which hurt their wiping ability. Since I live in San Francisco, this wear may be due to the long spans of dryness in the weather. The PIAA's seem to last the longest for me and I recommend it to everyone who has their blades dry up easily. If you live in Seattle, I can't help you here. By the way, I never noticed any noise from the blades, even after the rain pour stops.
