i finally went down to the dealers and put down my deposit/order for a bs/stone interior 6mt coupe with premium package and nav. all the dealers in my area except for one wouldnt even consider negotiating with me with the price!!!! they all wanted msrp. the dealer i finally ended up ordering from gave me a decent deal. they pretty much matched what i would have paid if i had gone with grubbs infiniti freshalloy member pricing which was a little over vpp pricing. if i calculate all the expenses like shipping and membership fees with the grubbs offer, the difference was about $20 difference. but i got some accesories thrown in for free (wheel locks and all weather mats). i tried for an hour to get them to throw in the clearbra too, but to no avail: ( but overall, i'm satisfied with the price i got. now it's time to take out all the mods out of my 03 coupe.

 

So how much did it cost you? So would it be possible for me to just go to my local dealer and order a 2005 ivory pearl coupe 5at with just the sport suspension and not with the premium package? How much do you guys think it would cost? congrats man. goodluck

 

if i had gone with grubbs freshalloy member pricing, i would have gotten it for about $2000 off msrp. however, i would have to pay for shipping and other fees. the total would have been about $1000 off msrp. with the deal that i got locally, it was about $1000 off msrp as well plus i got the free accessories. i didn't get final numbers down because we dealt with invoice numbers which is supposedly not available yet for the 6mt's. but i used the '04 invoice pricing plus adjusted 05 pricing to get a round number.

to get the best pricing, i suggest you do what i did. i printed out the grubbs freshalloy pricing form and brought it with me. about getting the sports suspension w/o premium, check out the infiniti website and build it.....it doesn't say you can't do it. good luck to you too.

 

Congratz! man. One thing though. I went to see the stone interior today, and I really don't like it versus the black one. Don't get me wrong, Stone is new and its a fresh look, but something bout that color isn't right. I dunno. I guess if you like it, u do, but me personally, I don't. But it really all depends as well, maybe you didn't have a choice and had to go with what you can get. But other then this, congratz on your car and its gonna be fun with JAN 2005 hits =)

for brilliant silver coupes, they only come in graphite or stone. of the two, i actually prefer the stone interior. my parents mercedes is silver with a gray interior as well and is very similar to the stone. so, i think it looks alright. my wife has a black car with charcoal interior and we have a hard time keeping the interior clean. i just like to steer clear of black cars and dark interiors for that reason. either way, they both look nice to me cuz they both g-coupes: ) but yeah, i can't wait to have a stick shift again!!!!

 

mm i think what wunautica meant was the new stone isn't gray enough. The mb ash and bmw gray are a goregous shade of gray but the g35 stone is like a tanish gray....It's not gray enough. But for me...i still think it looks good.

 

Yeah, exactly. I'm sure other grays looks nice, but something about the Stone interior for G just turns me down. I notice that it could easily get dirty on the side, where the doors at, because it being light grey and not black. The grey seats on the G looks more like greyish-yellow or tan. Dunno, all I know is that when I saw the new black interior, it was looking nice. As for the wheat, the I think dashboard is a lil to dark in color, wheat interior would look nice if only they done it right. I know black is plain and simple, but dunno, with the new alum trim, I think it makes it more sexy now. Wellz, I guess you will have to see the Stone interior for yourself either at your local dealership or whenever you pick up your car. I think I would of been of went for Stone though, if I had to choose between that or wheat.

Hey, Z2G, from the pics you have seen of the black interior, does it look darker to you now? Or about the same?

i agree with you guys though that the stone does have somewhat of a tan hue to it. before knowing it was the new "stone", i thought i was looking at the new "wheat" when i was at the dealers. but it's all good.

i do think that the new black appears a bit darker than the old graphite interior. but i've only seen pics of the new black interior so it's hard to say just looking at online pics.
