I am getting tired of the grease smears on my windows!!

The grease is caused by a defective design in what Nissan calls a door glass stopper. According to the 350Z guys, Nissan epects it to get much worse in the summer. They have a TSB for the Z (#NTB03-029) and a part #80327CD025 to correct the problem.


I have given my Infiniti service manager the 350Z info (TSB) from nissan and she is seeing what she can find out reguarding Infiniti.

I would HIGHLY suggest everyone calling Infiniti customer service line and bitching that Nissan has a fix for the Z, but their "upscale" brand, Infiniti, has nothing. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I'll call today and post any info. I HIGHLY encourage everone else to do so. I believe THAT is why the Z has the fix and we don't. The Z owners burned up the phone lines to Nissan.

BTW: Infiniti Customer Service # 1 800 662 6200 press 7 at the menu selection.
You should have your V.I.N. # handy.
The call takes about 5 minutes.

I just got off the phone w/ Infiniti. I spoke with Judy, ext. 3837. She will check into it and call me on Monday.

Ha Ha Bill! I just followed your advice as I have a L.R. too with the same grease streak on the drivers side window. Really pissing me off cuz' it's getting all over my new tint = ( . I have been after the dealer since I bought the car and the bastards keep telling me there is no fix for the problem. I can't image it's that difficult to fix at all. Anyway I called infiniti customer service and they told me they would investigate and call the dealer, then give me a call back. It's funny cuz Judy was the one I spoke to also kabout my LR Coupe. Well let's see whom get's a solution first eh? Hope its not a LR thing!?!?

yeah keep us posted i will make the call also. I hate cleaning that [censored] off the windows. But mine has smeed to stop. I think it is running out of gresse to smeer on my window. hahaha

 

I spoke to the service manager at my dealership, he said he looked up the TSB's for the 350Z and didn't see one regarding window grease. At the time I didn't have the TSB# handy, do you think I should call back and give it to him? He seems to be dodging the issue.
I have to go into the dealership tomorrow to get my plates, so I will give the service manager a nice demonstration on how greasy my damn windows gets. I will report back to let you know what he said. Good luck to everyone else!
