Painting Grille
Painting Grille
I have a Black 04 G35. Would painting the grille black look good?
If so, how much do you guys think it would cost to get done, because I was thinking of getting a different grille that was black, but don't know which would cost cheaper?

Simplified. What I did:
Sand down
Blow off all dust
Primer layer
Wait 5-10 minutes

Black paint layer

Clear coat
Let dry for 2-3 hours before mounting.
When applying the black paint, don't worry about not covering everything on each layer. VERY VERY LIGHT COATS. So for example, on your first coat. You should still be able to see the gray primer come through on some spots. This will get covered after 3-4 layers of black paint. The key is to not over do it.
Black grille looks good on almost any car. I say go for it.

Use Plasti Dip . If you dont like it you can peel it right off.

It'll cost about $20 of supplies to paint the grill. As for a different grill, probably in the low hundreds.

I'm in San Francisco. I would help you if you happen to be local. But you don't have a city on your profile.
I highly advise doing it yourself. And post up pictures if you need any help. The hardest part is probably removing the grille.
