ITT: I hate springs.

I hate replacing springs. I hate replacing the fronts on the stock coils when I can't get the top bolt loose and I have to use a but extractor and an air wrench and a pry bar and 2 other friends to help and it took 6 hours.

What did I learn? BUY COIL OVERS NEXT TIME.

That is all. Have a good night.

Holy Crap Nacho, you shouldn't need to change springs all the time! If you can't get a nut/bolt loose with an impact gun, "You're Doing It Wrong!" Next time you change springs make a vid, with all the $$ you'll make selling it you could afford coilovers and have someone else install 'em for ya. LTFOL

Lol! You're probably right. I also blew the front passenger side shock. Meh, I'll just have to take it apart again and make that video, lol.

1. you better be using spring compressors
2. PB blaster, and a wire brush will become your best friend on that top nut, and post
3. an impact gun will get you nowhere.

I know how to do it, and used that guide when I lowered the car, lol. And the impact gun did the trick, as I had to use it the first time I did the install on one of the front shocks. I soaked it in PB blaster for almost 45 minutes and all we did was strip the nut. So we used a nut extractor and a breaker bar and it finally broke free. Luckily the guy who did it for me had a nut exactly the same as the one we destroyed pulling off, so no harm done. Except that I blew that shock, lol.

Best advice on this forum. Took me 3 sets of springs all the while convincing myself I didn't need coilovers to realize how wack that was.

I am sooo happy with the coils it's amazing I was ever such a hard head.

Bring me your car - come to Chicago.
I'll do it for some beers?

Or a nice turnout is me flying to NV, going to Vegas and you let me play the slots or some BlackJack until I score big.

Haha, anyways seriously though (I wasn't kidding above though by the way), I've been in your shoes, if you think that's bad- my previous car (99 trd supercharged solara before fully built motor) I had to gut my entire rear of my car just to access the rear suspension.

Good luck!

PS: ^ BlueDream, your pu$$y's punching me
