Look at your A/F ratio after you remove the OEM cats and replace it with ART's. It will probably run on the lean side which can be corrected with a tune.

 

He won't need a tune after installing the MD spacer/Art pipe combo but once he gets a decent exhaust (not the ones he mentioned) it would be advisable. I feel that MotorDynes exhaust is the best on the market since all the b.s. surfaced about HKS if in fact it's true....

Re-tune is free according to my local shop. Mac auto sports said that once i pay the 750.00(ouch) that they will retune me for free.

I like the invidia exhaust, especially in light of the HKS high power being kinda crappy(from what ive seen but not proven yet) Also the reviews ive read always show some power gain and the owners seem happy.

So let me ask you guys this then, if you had $1500 what would you do to a 5at G35 PERFORMANCE only?

 

ART pipes, 3.7 FD gears, TransGo valve body kit. Might be a little over $1500, depends on how much you pay for the parts and labor. That's what I would do.

 

3.7 FD ive always been interested but idk where to even start. I just find a 3.7FD pumpkin right? And i lose cruise control, but i never use it anyways.

 

Just bought Exotic Speed R1-T Exhaust.

Comes with y-pipe and looks/sounds amazing. $795 shipped. I wonder if it will sound good with the ART pipes hmmm.

What i really hope is i dont lose HP with this new exhaust.

 

Yeah, basically. You'd have to read up the long thread in the drivetrain section for more details. You don't lose your CC. I, and many others, have 3.7 gears and still have our CC.
