Passenger seat slide up problem...

So I bought the car 10 days ago, and drove it all last week.

With rear passengers, you tilt the seat forward and then hit the little button to slide it up.

Well, the passenger seat did that all week, then stopped doing it this weekend.

The little button depresses but I can't hear anything being triggered.

Did it accidentally get shut off? Or could it be broken? I have no idea if there are any settings to it.

It's still under bumper to bumper warranty, so I can take it in if it's needing a repair. Thought I'd check here first.

Thanks!

Btw, she's an '07.

I just got my car a few days ago so I'm not the best help but with mine it seems like all you do is flip the backrest forward and it slides up by itself... is that what you mean? it no longer slides up by itself? I've never hit a button for it..

Mine has a latch in the middle of the back of the seat, that you pull up that leans the seat forward. Then a small black button under that that make it slide forward as a whole.

I have a power passenger seat, so I think that's the difference. it has to sl up the tracks under power, it's not free moving.

Yeah mine are power too, I have the lever on the back of the seat but I haven't used it yet, I hit the switch on the side and it auto slides the seat up.

Mine slides back and forth once the button is pressed, if yours does not work anymore take it to the dealer.

This design is cool but very annoying. I hate having to wait for it to move up and back. I like the e46 design where there is a lever that tilts the seat and moves it up and back. Much faster and more convenient. I can't even imagine if it is pouring outside and you have to wait while the seat moves back and forth.

it works. just put it back all the way with the switch and try it again. Make sure the passenger door is open.
