Drifting Fix
My Brother and I both bought coupes his has a drifting problem mine does not. he brought it back
to the Dealer here on Long Island and was told to wait for parts. Well last night they returned the car "Fixed", but it still drifts to the right, so much for quality control and road testing. My question is has anyone else had the same problem and has it been rectified. thanks

Re: Drifting Fix
A couple q's- what wheel/tires are on the car (17s or 18s? Bridgestones or Michelins?) Has the dealer done an alignment, and tire balance? How many miles on the car? Had a similar problem, all balance related, which I could feel. Dealer balanced the tires, problem fixed. Parts? Wheel weights- a couple bucks. Time- 1/2 hour in the shop.

From OvaYaHead:
"Brought the car in for service today. Had the transmission checked and the alignment because the car has a "mild right drift".
Now I can rest easy. Everything is fine, the 6m is notchy like that. I forgot the exact words, but it is due to the close gearing. If it weren’t notchy like that, the gear would kick out.
The right drifting is due to the control arm or compression rod. A new control arm or compression rod is actually being designed to correct this minor "characteristic of the car". The car is fine how it is and your tires will not wear prematurely. I ‘am on a list to receive the new control arm or compression rod under warranty. So if this issue is bothering you, I guess you should go talk to your service department. Infiniti is aware of the drifting to the right."

Re: Drifting Fix
I had the same pulling to the right problem, which was fixed recently. After aligning the car and checking the tires for tire pull, they figured out that the front left wheel is two degrees ahead of the front right wheel. Since, we don't have camber and caster adjustment on the front end of the coupe, they decided to change one of the adjustment control arms on the front right side. This seems to have worked. My car is driving straight, and the tires seem to be wearing evenly.
