what would you guys recommend the Passport 9500IX or the valentine one and why

Search the threads. And it is really better to go to a radar detector forum and get the best info rather than the second hand info from here imo. Both are great choices and it depends on what you like/want.

A radar is a radar. A car is a car. A radar's performance does not have anything to do with a car... Its all about placement and what radar it is.

+1 to Roger35 post.. it has much to do with the placement of the radar.. Higher the better and directline of sight out he back window.. so ideally directly underneath the rearview mirroe

yea +1 with what someone said go find a radar forum or website that has real facts about them then make your choice also the radar only works as good as the location its in

+1 thats where I hide mine since they are illegal in Va...

Either radar detector will work fine but you want to get the hanger that mounts it under your rear vision mirror. SEARCH....radar mount.

9500ix blows and all it is is a fancy 8500 x50 with GPS. If you want range then get Valentine or Redline.
