Words of Wisdom

Hello Driver! I blew my motor a few months ago 04 G35/ 6 speed / ATI Procharger. My tuner told me I spun my rod bearing and blew the head gaskets . After that I drove my car home and left it in the driveway. I am waiting on my Post 9/11 GI Bill payment so I can go ahead and order my new motor. Every time I see a G35 I get so sad and when ever I come home and I see my baby just sitting there it hurts me even more. For those who blew their motor and didnt have the funds to replace it how did you make it??? I just need some words of wisdom to get by until this check comes because now its killing me, Im tired of driving mommy's bmw to school. Also should I just stay stock? My plan was to put the procharger back on and just buy an oil coiler until I can save up for a built motor and trade it for twins, or should I just forget about boost and stay stock until I have enough for what I want todo? Thanks driver!! I really need you guys right now.

For me school started Feb 14th, they will pay you march 1st for Feb but only from the 14-28. Then april comes around and you get your whole sum for March and so on. Plus they give you $1000 for books. 12 units = $500. If you have more, you'll get more but you'll only get $1000 a year.

7.5 pounds? that's a little much isn't it? someone told me 6psi is max for our cars. What were you getting to the wheels?

Ohhh I see. I started Jan 21 so hopefully my payment will come soon. I was making 370RWHP. I have a Talon I was going to use as a winter beater/ project car but that never happened so I will just sell that and use that plus the GI bill for the motor. I am deploying in a few months anyway so I can always use that money to go all out and do things the right way.

when you deploy and where? If i stay in, they'll activate me in 2021 for the next 6-9 months. E-5 pay in UAE would be soooo awesome. Just think what i can do to the car!?! Change EVERYTHING!!! But i don't know yet.

from what I read 370whp is too much often for pure stock motors.. If you are going to deploy I would personally wait till your return and then do it all so you won't really have to worry

i have blown 1 motor and had one almost die on me. the only thing that got me going was seeing the new parts come in for the upgraded motor. no neither of the 2 motors were a vq. one was a sr20 and a dsm 4g63. so i know how it is to not be able to drive your car and have it sitting there looking sad in the driveway. if you are deploying in a few months, i would wait till you leave and then start buying the parts to build the motor for boost. thats pretty much what i did but instead i bought suspension parts

I am going to Afghanistan but I cannot say when due to OPSEC reasons but it is within the next few months. I just hope I dont blow my money like I did on my first deployment. Being 20 and watching my bank account sky rocket I didnt know what to do lol, but now I have my mindset on just rebuilding my baby the right way. Hopefully I wont be a dumbass and come back with a GTR smh
