Maybe he just doesn't want it on his record? If he's under 25, his insurance will shoot through the roof and won't go down for awhile. Paying cash will be better so everything will be under the table.

he presented proof of insurance, and i know where he lives so no running for him. he just dosnt want his insurance rates to increase, so im going to tell him the cost then he will figure out what he wants to do.

Mistakes can happen. At least the guy manned up to his mistake and left his info to follow with proper actions. It's sad, but this is actually rare nowadays.

Yeah, at least he left his info. I bet some people here don't even have the same class this kid did.

Good luck with everything.

A kid left info? Wow, I'm impressed. That **** wouldn't have happened here in Calgary!

Hope everything works out.

This.

The guy wasn't a jerk. In fact, he's just the opposite. Good on him for having a sense of responsibility.

Hope it works out for the best.

I was forced to hit a deer and I was going well under the speed limit. The guy had his high beams on and was speeding so I couldn't see a deer that was on his side. All I got was a popped off side marker and some hair in my headlights. Didn't look this bad at all..

How old was his kid? Maybe you are a bit older than all of us so your definition of a kid is a 32 year old.

Karma's a bieeetch thats the reason why I would leave my info had I done something like that...regardless GL with everything and go easy on the kid for being courteous....obviously dont incur any payments on your end but find a way that he wont have to pay an extravagant amount of money on the quote.
