Update:

Quarter panel and tail light arrived from Infiniti today... glass guy was here to remove the back and quarter glass today, but said he couldn't do it until we begin repairs and have the interior disassembled.

Unfortunately, our shop insurance is actually giving us a hard time with covering the incident... because the damaged vehicle is an employee's car, and not a customer's car. Semantics... we'll get the final word this afternoon. Either way, I'll start repairs tomorrow.. rip apart the inside and cut off the old quarter panel. I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes of the inner quarter being repairable... especially if we end up paying out of pocket.

More updates to come, and pics with repairs of course.

Tail light is cracked on the inside where the quarter panel is pushed in. I ended up buying a recycled deck lid with spoiler but it showed up today with an aftermarket knock-off spoiler on it and a broken brake light. Just shelled out an extra $100 for a different one.

Anyway, repair is under way... I gutted the entire interior and right now I'm trying to see if I can get the quarter panel off as a whole without having to drop the headliner. If not, we'll cut above the quarter glass.

Decided to split the welds at the edge of the panel so the final product is super clean with no plastic! Just gonna be a little tricky because the quarter edge is under the roof panel.

Here you can see the damage to the inner quarter inside the trunk... doesn't look too bad, we'll see what lies under the exterior quarter on Monday morning.
