A totaled hyundai sonata that we fixed here... smooth ride actually. But I finally took my G home for the first time last night and damnnnn does it feel great! and fast, compared to the sonata, haha. I kept peeking out my front window to look at the G last night like a weirdo. whatever.

I'll snap some pics of the final product when I get a moment today... the car has never looked better. This weekend I'll be getting the tints redone... thinking 35% all around, or possibly 35 in the back windshield and 40/45 in the front, depending on how dark it looks.

Anyone ever have work done at Boss Audio in Perth Amboy, NJ??? I got quoted $135 for 2-year warantee film, and $185 for 3M lifetime-warantee film.. which is probably what I'd go with, just for the warantee.

I would not do it. If done badly you always gonna suffer with roof leaks.

I had a qt skin replaced recently, and my shop did not touch the roof, they just welded the skin together.

EDIT: Ooops too late.

good luck with repair

is that a Nissan part or after market?

How much was it and why didn't you get one from a junk yard?

That's an OEM quarter skin. I got it new because with the heavy discount we get from Infiniti makes it about equal to a cut off of a junkyard vehicle. Plus, new is better. We welded right along side the roof underneath the black moulding... no risk of leaks!

That is something I'll be addressing soon... with the flanges lined up on that left muffler, the tip is up touching the bumper cover so I turned it slightly to the right. The next time I have her up on the lift, I'll be torching the pipe and tweaking it to the left a bit... Gotta live with imperfections if you're not splurging on an original HKS...

very nice surprised you didn't do some aftermarket body work while you were painting the whole car.
