I do not believe that Donald Driver owns a G35. So based on that I come to a conclusion that G35 is not Drivers car. It's mine.

Sure the answer is yes to those questions but to me, that does not make it a drivers car. Everyone has their own feel as to what a car feels like. As Gary stated above, his vette is one hell of a machine but he loves his G35. I agree except I think the corvette is more of a drivers car for my feel. Would I like to daily drive the vette? No because I would rather have what the G35 offers, a combination of everything which it does consistently well. A definition of a drivers car for me is one that sits in my garage Monday-Friday except for beautiful, WoRthy (No pun intended) weather. I own a G35 because i've always wanted one (In fact I bought two), not because it is a drivers car. Like I said, it does what it is supposed to well, nothing more, nothing less. I could have easily went out and bought a Z06 but chose not to..I am not trying to hate on the G, or else I would have dumped it. I am just stating my opinion of how it is not a drivers car, again, in my opinion.

Well, we agree on just about everything except that the 3LZ Z06 will cost you $97,970. Alot of money for a weekend car. A 1LZ can be had for $83,750.

Correct but a $40,000 sports car plus $20,000 in modifications at age 25 may not be the smartest move if in fact one day you want one of those cars. I would love to have a penthouse in NY city and also a large 4,000 SF home in the suburbs. I could never afford it but in my opinion, a nice house is both. All while I live in a row home. I hope I made my point with that, lol it probably wasn't clear.

Well i gurss the only thing I'm having a problem with. You said "I could have easily went out and bought a Z06 but chose not to". So I'm assuming that you cane purchase a $97,970 Z06 to have your drivers car. Can you or can you not buy a 3LZ Z06?

I'm glad you're happy with your purchase, I know I do enjoy my G35 as well. That said, it's not a driver's car without considerable modification.

A car mag that was reviewing the G35S sedan referred to it as a driver's car, in the same way it described the 335i as a driver's car.

The problem is, no one has defined what a driver's car is and in fact, it might be one of the stupidest terms ever coined by the auto magazines and marketers.

Some of you seem to think it has to do with how uncomfortable and unforgiving the car is.

Some of you seem to think it has to do with how much it costs.

Some of you seem to think it has to do with how fast it goes from 0 to 60.

Some writers seem to think it has to do with cockpit layout.

The temperature dial on my coupe is on the right of the climate control unit...closer to the passenger. So my coupe is not a "driver's car." The outside temp reading on my G35x can only be seen by the driver, so it is a "driver's car."

It all gets pretty idiotic.

On the other hand, when I take my 6MT in the mountains and push it hard on tiny, twisty roads, it performs amazingly and it makes me smile and a little scared at the same time. That's my definition of a 'driver's car'.

i love to drive my g, especially after putting the coilovers on and new clutch and flywheel. After doing these sole 2 things alone it made it a drivers car to me. The more you mod, the more it becomes.

Mine has the same feature, but it prefers to grab the salt from the roads when they dry up after a snow storm.
