Question HFC passing smog in Cali?

Hey guys I want to start ordering my exhaust parts today or tomorrow I just can't between TPs and HFCs. The only reason I would want to do HFCs is hoping it would pass smog here in Cali and I don't don't have to remove them every time for smog. If not then I rather just get a TP more power louder exhaust.... only bad part about it is the smell of the TPs is it bad? The exhaust I'm getting is the KCR (hks replica) testpipes I only thing I would go with the res Megan TPs. But when it comes to HFCs I don't know much could you guys please help me.

BERK'S HFCs will pass the sniffer test no problem it's the visual where you might have an issue. Where I get my test done they don't care about the visual as long as it passes the sniffer, quite a few places are like that. Test pipes in CA. just isn't a good idea since our state has started roadside tests just like the DUI stops. They can test you driving by if you don't pass they'll pull you over and find out why....see not a good idea to have test pipes!

The only drawback with Berk HFC's is it makes hissing noises like you got snakes in your car. I'm gonna be getting some different catalytic gaskets to fix this problem. I hear it is resolvable from Gary. Felt a great improvement in power after I put on the Berks. I really like them.

When I installed my BERK'S I bought new OE gaskets from Nissan cause I didn't like what came with the HFCs and I have zero hiss. They're not cheap but I dislike the idea of doing a job twice.... If you do buy new OE gaskets match them up with what BERK sent you, Nissans information is incorrect in their system.

I was in a hurry and reused half eaten up gaskets, no hissing even with a little leakage, I then had them properly sealed up and still have not heard any hissing. I don't know why. not complaining either haha
