Emergency brake cable

so my car has been in the shop now for a month for repairs... for a whole month the shop has been telling me that there is a national back order on emergency brake cables and im getting sick of waiting any longer. does anyone know where i could order a new emergency brake cable from so i can get my car back?

Did you do an online search? I found several E-brake cables delivered in a week or less.

Have you called your local Infiniti dealer to check?

ya i called 3 infiniti dealerships and said it could take up to 3 months to get it in... insurance wont let me release the car without it.. and ive looked online and only found used and they said they dont want to have liability if somehting happens with a used part. i havent been able to drive my car after everything else has been fixed except for this cable

So the shop or insurance is holding it up over an E-brake cable? Seems petty. That sucks.
Is insurance paying for a loaner?

^^ lol XD

What if you take them the part and don't tell them it's used? The insurance company won't know.

make sure that you at least turn the rental in so you are not charged for it.
