03/04 vs 05+ (rev up)

Are the 03s and 04s considerably slower compared to the 05s and up? There's an 03 6MT coupe near me with only 22k miles for 15.5k that I'm really interested in. But, I really want an 05+ due to the Rev Up but this is a hard deal to pass up. Should I wait for a couple more weeks or jump on this one?

Also, would the 'standard' bolt on mods get me up in the 300hp range? (intake, spacer, high flow cats, y-pipe, etc.) Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the info. And nah i dont expect 300 whp; anywhere around 250 at the crank would be cool with me.

I have an 03 with minimal mods and my buddy has an 06 with slight bit more mods then me and they are the same exact speed til you shift into 5th then the revup will pull you. IMO I like the 06 because it is more refined but Ive had no probs with my 03 an would buy it again.

Thanks for all the info. Unfortunately the 03 6MT with 22k miles sold a couple days ago...bummer. The hunt continues. At this rate I'm even starting to consider an AT since there's so many out there, I just hate the fact that they don't have the rev up engine with 298 ponies.

Regardless of whether I get a MT or AT, I'm sure I'll be happy owning a G period. Such a sexy car.

Get a manual. You'll regret getting auto.

I think you're right I just need to seal the deal in the next week or two. I did find an 06 6MT with 31k miles but it's red. I would much rather have a black or graphite G.
