BAD SELLER ALERT: steveyeds
Re: BAD SELLER ALERT: steveyeds
I'm sure this joker will switch usernames and hotmail account. Still, good to bring to everyone's attention.
ADMIN. Can you post these warnings in separate forum? Might be a good deterrent.

This is one of the reasons I liked the mega-meets we have periodically. It gives you a better idea of who you're dealing with when you meet them in person. Even if you don't meet them yourself at least someone would be able to vouch for a persons character and prove that they're a real person and not a made up "profile" on the internet.
I've bought a few things from forum members but mostly from people that I've seen with multiple postings and others that I've met in person.

Good advice from SoCalG. I've bought and sold numerous things on here and my350z. I always check to see how many posts the user has and when they registered. If I'm not totally comfortable, I just move on. It's not worth the risk for just a few bucks.

oh oh....the "D" word. you're opening up a pandora's box: ) but yeah, thanks for the heads up. i agree that i usually look at the person's post numbers when i consider purchasing from another member. and also, meeting members at local meets can give you some insights on their character ( at least somewhat ). bottomline, be careful who you're purchasing from and never, ever send cash, money order, check or wire money. i think using your credit card or paypal is the best way to go since it will give you some recourse if the transaction goes awry.

qmaster8: Thanks for the heads-up. I'm glad that you were at least able to recover your funds.

Re: BAD SELLER ALERT: steveyeds
It seems my user name will pop up almost everywhere these days... All I have to say to those whom claimed "I ripped them off" - Just like I have asked MANY times in the past, please provide me and the forum members PROOF that you sent me a grill for starters, and second the USPS Money Order receipt stub for the total amount as negotiated upon. If you paid for it, then you'll have a copy of the money order, and if I deposited it and decided to rip you off, the USPS can track the money order and you'll have proof of that. Lastly, all the money orders I received were under my name, hence making it even harder for "me" to rip anyone off. Its there in black and white. These so called "complainers" were basically trying to scam me and get a free service. They sent in grills with no payment, said the payment was included and that I had stole it, and then proceeded to blast me on the forum. My girlfriend tried to resolve things, didn't send out the grills, and when I got back, I asked them all to send me payment proof and out of the three people, only ONE provided me with actual proof that he in fact sent in a legit money order and I verified it with my bank. The rest, well YES I kept their grills! Why should I perform a service and not get paid for it. Did they really think I would send back their grills completed without payment? I'm sorry, but fare is fare. I didn't rip anyone off! If that's the game you want to play, I'll play along as well. Unfortunately in this world you have to deal with the good, the bad and the ugly.

The user steveyeds is a bad seller and will rip you off. I tried to buy an exhaust from him and got screwed over bad. I got lucky and was able to recover my funds, but trust me do not purchase anything from him. He will make excuses and take forever to reply and never send anything. Stay away from him.
