Smile 17" Rims or 19" Rims??? Or Stay With the 17"?

Lookin to change my alloy rims from a 17 Inch Rim to a 19" Rim. I have tire size 225/50R/17 on them....If I go to the sporty 19 inch Rim, with tire size 225/40R/19, has anyone had any problems with the ride it gives with the 19 inch Rim....Also can someone tell me the difference b/wa 225/40ZR/19 vs. 225/40R/19.....I'm a gurl, so I'm not into racing, teehee...any advice?

Google "tire speed ratings", all the info you can handle.

19's will be rougher but not bad.

Essentially everyone is going to tell you 19" because of how many millions of times it looks better than any 17". If you were pure drag or something, then maybe it would be different..

I'm assuming you have a sedan.. 19's would look MUCH better IMO...

The width of the tire really will depend on the size and width of the rim you want to get.

The 'Z' character is the speed rating of the tire (Z = 149mph+).

Is this a serious question? April 1st isn't quite here yet.

Ok seriously, 19s in my opinion look better, since you're a "gurl" and I assume you may not be into drag racing or autoxing etc, why not go with them, if you prefer the look, make sure that you have a bit more $ to have when it comes time to replace the tires.

Actually, I have a 2006 Coupe, and my neighbor had the 2007 Sedan and I always admired his rims.....but was not sure of the impact of the ride....Yes, I do know that by going from a 17" tire to 19" tire will cost more.....just am not sure if the "LOOK" is worth it and did not know if it would affect the ride, bumpy, etc. I know someone that has the 19" Rims & Tires for $860, tires are still in very good condition, Kumho tires w/19" Rims. Right now I have Goodyear 17" tires....Also not sure if I do decided to buy these 19" Rims, I won't need tires right away, but when I do anybody out there with suggestion for TIRES, too....Size 245/40R19 & 22540R19????

Okay, everyone, I just made up my mind very quickly. Not lookin forward to going back & spending a fortune on replacement tires (been there on my last car, Honda Prelude, took Potenza RE92 V Rated Tires, don't know why, that was the tires from the delearship from Honda), which cost around $300 or more each to replace one. I could not wait to get rid of the car, only b/c of the cost of tires. SOLD! Thanx, Guys...

Lol @ the quadruple post. So does that mean you're going with the 19s, or no?
