maintenance help

Hi all, I am can't find the answer to my concern so here it is.

1. I have an 03C with Brembos and I have experienced brake not catching at random on usually really cold nights or really wet nights. Sometimes I get the same symptoms if the car is parked outside with heavy rain. Car have new pads and rotors all around since last october. The problem exist prior to brake works and still there after. What can I do to fix this, if any at all?

2. I have difficult time getting to the oil drain plug and the filter with factory jack so what can I do to get better access? Would the portable rams works? Don't think I should be paying for oil change when it's something so simple.

Thanks in advance.

oh sweet. Thank you for the site. I didn't think I have to jack all 4 corners up. Will try that. Any ideas on the brake issue?

My brakes feel the same way I believe that the rotors cool pretty quickly and the pads don't bite as well as if the rotors were warm, I find it most noticable on longer highway rides, but after a couple seconds on the brakes it goes away as the pads and rotors start to warm.

If you intend to do the maintenance yourself you need to get the right equipment. Check out Harbor freight, they have a jack for $59 and for a few more $ you can buy jackstands. This small investment will make your life much easier and you can do all your oil changes for years to come. By doing a search you can find out where the best jack/jack stand points are just to be safe or check your manual. Good Luck....

I have 4 10"-12" (I think) jackstands from Harbor Freight forever. It's just I was used to just jacking the front of the car doing oil change instead of all 4 corners for the G since it's so low. Didn't even realize to try the 4 corners method. Thank you.
