Does this G look fishy to you?

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...258144800.html

It's been up for quite a while, first 16000, then down to 14000, then 12500, now 11700, I've talked to him, alot of people showed interest, and when it was at 12500, he had it down for a while so I assumed he sold it, but now it's back up. I just think a car like that, should be sold by now and he wouldn't need to keep lowering it.
First time I talked to him I asked for the VIN he said he'd tell me when I get down there cause someone tried to steal his car once, weird cause he was fine with telling me his address. But after that he seemed all legit.

He lives a 140$ trip away from me. also I just emailed him and he said someone put in a deposit.
He wrote in an earlier posting that (If you're interested a 1000$ deposit is needed and if you don't want it it is unrefundable. Sorry just tired of people that lie).
He had that up for 1 post out of like 9.

A lot of people sell their "Stuff" on craigslist, so many in fact what you're selling can get lost. I wouldn't buy any car without running the vin on carfax, if he's really interested in selling this G he should give you the vin over the phone so you're not wasting you time and $$!

"$11,700 firm. Not a penny more and not a penny less."

Not a penny more? He'd turn down extra money? Strange craigslist post. Good luck finding a car, though.

I know for a fact it's not a scam, I talked to someone who saw the car "didn't drive it"
I just believe it has a rebuilt title or something

^ it's most likely 130 000 km, us Canadians for some strange reason have a habit of saying miles but really meaning kilometers,

anyway OP would love to help you with potential info as this is local to me but i dont know this guy, have never seen this car nor is the owner a club member of our local VQ club

If you could email him maybe Go test it, or even just get the vin and check it with the car,

Sounds like a scam but maybe you should try to go there, test out the car and all.

What does having giving a potential buyer the VIN number have to do with it being stolen? It's not like it's his SSN. Sounds really fishy to me. I bet it does have a rebuilt title and he isn't wanting that to be known.
