Had the Metra kit installed yesterday by an audio shop. Everything works but the AC control unit.
Does anybody know what could be the problem? I read somewhere that Metra kit only works for dual functions cars. If this is true, what are my options?

 

I had the same problem when I installed mine. I called Metra and they told me that there was a difference in the acc control between certain model g35's. They had me to check to see if I had the new kit or an older kit. I had to that the screws out of the back of the acc control and check for some jumper wire. They said some cars needed the jumper wire and some didn't. They ended up sending me another updated unit, and I had to send the other one back. No problems since I had the kit about two years now. If I was you I would called them and they can walk you through the process to check it out.

I actually spoke to one of the techs at Metra and they told me the same thing.
I have to remove the unit again, to check the jumper wire and give them the #serial number.
Where did you purchase your kit from? Did you pay any additional money for a replacement?

I purchased mine from crutchfield so they sent me a new one and once it arrived and I installed it and there were no problems. They gave me a return box with postage paid, and I sent the first one back.

 

Well I purchased mine from Amazon over 6 months ago. I don't think that I can return it or do anything now.
