Oh God....don't get me started. I mean, if FWDs were so great, we'd be driving Minis and Audi non-quattros.
Accord, Acura TSX....Altima Coupes, Maximas..........same damn difference.
Give any of the above just under 300 HP @ around 3400-3500 curb weight, a straight line (like ALLLLL of our roads), and experienced drag racer?
I'll take 'em over the cherry-G35 drag racer lacking familiarity with what he/she drives.....possibly all day long.
Until we hit the track. A real track with twisties, not a drag STRIP.
Where the front-driver will ultimately spin out and/or flip - trust me, I've done these things...........enroute getting their butts kicked by our dressed up, gussied up, 350Zs.
As they do almost daily when I encounter them on S. Florida roads. Eat my dust and suck up my fumes, you chumps.
Hell, a frickin Honda S2000 can't even deal with us. And this is just after the same Accords & TSXs get smashed by their little-bitty S2000 relatives.
Now, off to the Honda dealership with EnerOnE to get rid of my crappy G.

OK..........I'll cheer up, dudes & dudettes.
We cool anynigma, BonB.
And yes, the S2000 is a formidable foe, where I simply base my comments on Road & Track - about 2 years ago - comparing it with the Nismo Z, which has essentially the same performance of the sport-pack Touring Z.
Stock Honda v. Stock Nissan = Honda lost.
I just can't stand these front drive beeches running too much smack.
With their stupid tranverse-mounted engines sitting fore of the front axle - brilliant! - for about 60% in front weight balance, just so we can have nice, light steering under hard acceleration (as we turn a sharp corner)........no worries.
Oh, did I forget the lack of front end dive when braking (which may also include turning the wheel - see above).............thus making FWDs the true driver's car.
Now, I'm off to dust a TSX or 2. Maybe a Mitsubishi Eclipse?
Can't wait.
Thanks, homies! All bitterness aside, y'all cheered me up.
I'm a happy camper.

From driving all generations of accords and g35s I would have to say that in a straight line a stock accord v6 coupe will pull on a stock g35 and a 2011 acc cp. will give a g37s a run for its money. I have never ran them side by side but I can honestly say that a new accord v6 coupe auto or manual feels much quicker than my 04 g with all bolt ons. however, i dont really care as the g is just a big ol luxury coupe that is relatively under powered for its size yet feels more fun to drive due to the rwd and balance.
Why do I drive a g? style, sound, decently quick, and comfy. Why do i drive a boosted 240? fast, can beat on it relientlessly, and if it gets wrecked at the track im 2g and 10hrs from everything swapped into a new shell.

lol im not to sure about that vid i think that was a bad launch but my friend has a accord and we.... yea lets not get into details but it was close the 3.5 v6 accords aren't that slow
lol the driver of the G… well cant drive. after i had my bone stock 6mt for a month i clocked in a 14.3 (running against a 2008 civic Si with some fart cannon and a driver that was talkin mad s..t, and he ended up running a 15.6), and after having an accord v6 (auto) there is no reason why the g couldnt have taken the win. the accords would be lucky to run a 15 sec 1/4 even with the 6mt.
^ This is why I think Infiniti needs to step up their game and equip the g with the 5.6L from the m56.
When the G was introduced in 2003, it had more power than any econobox from Japan, as well as the Mustang. Now, eight years later, the first gen G doesn't enjoy nearly the horsepower advantage it used to, and the new G37 is going to get it's *** handed to it on the track against the Mustang GT - any track.
I know the G and the Mustang are not equals, but there was a time when the G outperformed the Mustang, while delivering some added luxury.
If we're comparing a 2011 Accord with a 2003 - 2007 G35, we have to realize Honda has had basically eight years to catch up to the G performance wise.

man i don't still trying to take this fact in but it like killing me to believe it so. man it suck ball i think we should just all go turbo and yea everything would be fine. Or i just should focus on my 300zx i know that for sure will tear up all the accord out there lol.
