Got my G!!
I've driven almost nothing but MTs since I've been driving...30+ years....and the G35 6MT is the most bothersome to start off in. I still have to think about it every time I start off on a hill. In every one of the other vehicles operating the clutch was second nature, even on steep hills.
Anyway, try this: Somewhere safe get a good rolling start and shift up through third. In third steadily accelerate up to about 4500 rpms. Then stomp on it all the way to the floor. You'll feel what the car can do. If you are somewhere really safe don't shift into 4th until you hit about 6500 rpms. Do the same thing for 4th and 5th. Don't let the rpms drop below 4000 with each shift.

Sure. Every time you start your car, then start driving forward, the anti lock brake system does a self test to verify all is working as it should. This sounds like a rapid clicking that lasts about two seconds. The test kicks in only after the first forward motion after the car has been started, and you'll hear the sound once you reach ten m.p.h. or so.
When you wrote you hear it in your neighborhood, I thought I'd mention this because that's about the only time I ever notice the self-test. When I'm out in town, there's usually enough other noise and distractions to keep me from noticing it.

N80: I can definitely see how g35s are one of the harder cars to get into 1st, especially on hills. I've driven a couple other cars for just a few minutes and they were quite a bit easier. I'm getting better but still stalling here and there when shifting into 1st.
Thanks for the tips for seeing what a G can really do. I'm driving down to Statesboro, GA after work tonight. I-16 is usually a pretty empty highway...might have to open her up a bit.

So I recently noticed my first minor problem with my car. I'm having trouble filling up the tank all the way and after doing some research on the problem, I found out there's a TSB for it. My question is, will it be repaired for free? Technically I'm out of warranty with 65k miles but I've been hearing mixed testimonials about whether or not all TSBs are free. I really don't want to pay for something that Infiniti messed up on...

Here's an update on my G after about 7 months of owning it. I just dropped it a tad and I'm loving it. Current list of mods include:
-06 projectors baked and painted black
-clear corners
-z tube + k&n
-EBC rotors with project mu b-force pads
-Z springs with Tokico HP blues and the springmount mod in the rear
-20mm spacers all the way around
-black grill
-viper 5902 with remote start
Future list of mods:
-High flow cats
-MREV2 plenum
-Iso thermal spacer
-Uprev tune
-double din head unit with JDM trim
-new Rockford Fosgate 6x9s
-245s in the front and 275s in the rear
On to the pictures:

It's hard to tell but there's only about a 2 finger wheel gap at most.

*EDIT*: Well that didn't take long for my pics to screw up. I'll fix them tonight.

I love the viper so far. I had to tweak the sensors a bit to stop false alarms. It still happens once in a blue moon but usually just the warn away chirp from the proximity sensor. About 5 cars got broken into at my work the other week. 2 of those cars were parked on both sides of my car...winning.

The tires I currently have on there are stock size. I will be getting 275s in the next month or two then some 245s whenever my fronts wear out enough.
I'm hoping I don't have to roll my fenders but it looks like I'll have to.
