Haha brake related is a little vague. ; )
But you were right about something coming in contact with the rotor. I figured it was the rotor shield. But didn't even think about the parking brake coming apart.

I'll meet ya in the middle at $5... Lol since you didn't specify the parking brake.. (only technically part right ; )

I was reading this and thought 1) warped rotor or 2) messed up ebrake. should have taken your wheel off sooner haha.
