changing a tire??

hey guys how hard is it to change the g35 tire. Im gonna order 17" tire/wheel package for winter and i will probably just leave it in my trunk till it starts snowing... And then when it starts snowing i'll get out, jack my car up, and change the tires....
Is it that hard to change the tires of the g35..

well I don't mean to be rude but this is a really newb question to be asking. Just do it. It should take no longer than an hour. If you can't change a tire than I have no comment.

I just want to know how you think that you can fit 4 wheels/tires in the coupe's trunk.

Re: changing a tire??

couple of things 2fast.. first off, if you've done it a few times, should only take like 20 minutes, including jacking up the car.

You want to make sure you loosen the lug nuts a little before you lift up the car.. don't want to put all that torque onto them while the car is in the air.

do yourself a favor and get a real hydraulic jack, not that POS that comes in the trunk of the car.

and yeah what others said, have fun trying to get 4 tires into that coupe trunk.

Rather than waiting for snow, you'd be better off changing them over as soon as temperatures consistently dip below 40 F or so. The summer rubber you have on hardens up and has poor traction in the cold.

You'll have to store the tires at a friend's place, since you won't want to keep all of them in your car. Change-over time depends on your abilities and equipment. At home, I can do a change-over in about 20 minutes, including re-stacking them in the garage.

Re: changing a tire??

Actually, you can fit 3 tires & wheels in the trunk...with the rear seat folded down. The fourth tire and wheel is placed in a large garbage bag (if you care to) and placed in the passenger side seat....while partially creeping over towards the gear shifter.

I don't recommend carting the tires & wheels around....not a pleasant driving experience.

;-P

The alternative to not installing the snow tires would be....(see picture).
