Question about ViS diffuser from new owner

Hello G35 Driver!

I bought a '03 IP Coupe about 2 weeks ago and have already started modding it. =D Just doing exterior mods 'cause I can't drive (AT ftw)!

Yay for DIY threads... and my boyfriend lol. I've already installed clear corners, repainted my door pulls, fixed the back light on my clock and installed a K&N filter.

I just had a question about some parts I'm in the process of buying.

Can someone tell me why this rear diffuser from ViS says it needs hood pins? I thought those were for... hoods. Also what does it mean that it's for off road use only? Because that's making me think I can't use it for my daily driver. I'm buying this from a guy on craigslist so I also need to know where the authenticity badge is too.

Diffuser

Also picking up Nismo front bumper and ViS CF grill from the same guy. Going to be fun getting that bumper painted. XD

Thanks in advance for the help guys!

No pins needed, I have a nismo style diffuser and you just need some self tapering screws and some 3m tape to install those. $500 seems steep to me though... you might want to check the marketplace for a better price

It looks like the description in the link is for their CF hoods and has nothing to do with the diffuser. That's pretty expensive for just an add-on diffuser... Have you looked at the chargespeed rear bumper w/cf diffuser? Its about the same price or less than that and will replace the whole bumper.

Congrats on the G, and welcome to the forums. Post pics!

500 is bs.
Ravspec here sells their CF at I believe 499 shipped or something .
Their fitment is spot on.
Plus- I never heard much good things about VIS.. personally. But who knows.

Thanks for the response guys. Need to track down a DIY on that diffuser ^^

I can't seem to find much information about the ViS Diffuser; but the guy I'm buying from is selling a brand new diffuser for $280 and since I'm buying 3 items from him total, we've negotiated a pretty good price. No shipping either.

Not hearing good things about ViS products makes me worried though. Has anyone else had experience with either the ViS CF diffuser or grill?

@Silencer_0: Thanks! Will post pictures soon!

You should get some quotes from this vendor, just to compare prices.

Pic of how it'll look.

vis fitment is always hit or miss from what i've seen. it usually isn't terrible, but it usually isn't perfect either.... just make sure you get confirmation from the guy you are buying from that if it doesn't fit to your liking he will give you a full refund.

@Silencer_0: Thanks! I sent a pm to that vendor. Diffuser looks so sexy.

@Xet: That's a good advice. I'll make sure to do that.

@Dustin: PM sent.

My clear corners... I was warned someone might steal them. XD

The Z is the boyfriend's.

It was hard to find an IP with black interior. ^^ Carpets are coming! Will post a picture of painted door pulls next.

Nice! You should look into removing the side moldings too, it'll look cleaner.

Good luck with the modding, it's an endless, expensive road .

@Silencer_0: Yes, I will definitely remove the side moldings. They're driving me crazy haha. I've given up getting the bumper for now... found out the one I was looking at was fiberglass and the pearl paint was like 400. *sigh* Currently thinking of getting a black roof overlay...

@lucid215: Ooo.. thank you! It looks like the CF one just goes right over the stock one?
