Question for you 2006 owners...

I am about to purchase a pre-owned 2006 G coupe in white/tan color combo. Sport package, heated seats, sunroof & in 6MT (no Bose). Only 17k with a 70 yr old lay who owned it previously I noticed on older G coupes there is a clear tape peice (rock deflector) on the rear quater & rocker panel. But on this particualar coupe there is only a clear tape peice on each side of the rocker panels (not the rear quaters), clean carfax btw. Any input? Thanks.

Wow. You guys are awesome! Had me a lil concerned when I had noticed a 2005 model with a total of "4" clear pieces of tape & mine only had two. I will check out that thread. Any differences on the 2006 vs. 2007 G coupe also other than the keyless setup? I perfer the G35 coupe over the G37 coupe personally...lol.

They're not necessary, I removed mine. Sounds like you've found a good G to buy.

Mine is an 06 with keyless entry..
and I prefer g35 over 37 myself.
I just like their interior more, but exterior, I love the 35 more hands down.

Did your 2006 coupe have 4 pieces or 2 if you recall? Just curious...plan to leave her all stock excluding the music category. I also noticed it has a XM radio antenna mounted on the rear of the roof. Looks like I have a free subscription for now = )

You & I both...lol. Well the interior is about equal to me. How is the theft on thes cars? I realize a non keyless car such as mine has the remotes with a pnic feature button but anything else recommended from breaking in to these cars?

I had 4 piece.
2 on each side skirt then a connecting piece right above it.
Idk about what other recommendations but you can always get an aftermarket system for security such as Viper or whatever. I personally have LoJack on mine and it helps that since my car is parked outside of my house we have infrared cameras pointing to our property to help keep watch and such.

Not too sure on which packages included what, but I think the premium packages only came with the Bose.
